All our products are compliant with CARB ATCM 93120 Phase II (CARB II) and Toxic Substances Control Act Title VI (TSCA Title VI), and we are proud to carry the KCMA’s Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) certification.
The CARB II and TSCA Title VI rules require panel manufacturers, distributors, importers, fabricators, and retailers of the covered composite wood products, including cabinet manufacturers, to only use composite wood products that do not exceed specified formaldehyde emissions levels (≤0.09ppm for particleboard; ≤0.11 for MDF).
Through the ESP, the KCMA encourages practices that benefit the environment and communities served by cabinet manufacturers. The ESP certification program holds the cabinetry industry to high standards for their products, forest sustainability, and manufacturing processes. As part of the annual certification process, Echelon Cabinetry goes through a yearly audit of materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes to ensure CARB II and TSCA Title VI compliance.
